barbie doll!!!

i want to share with you about the doll that i really love!!!i love barbie doll very much!!!they are very cute and pretty!!!here,i want to share with you about the history of barbie doll...

Ruth Handler watched her daughter Barbara at play with paper dolls, and noticed that she often enjoyed giving them adult roles. At the time, most children's toy dolls were representations of infants. Realizing that there could be a gap in the market, Handler suggested the idea of an adult-bodied doll to her husband Elliot, a co-founder of the Mattel toy company. He was unenthusiastic about the idea, as were Mattel's directors.
During a trip to Europe in 1956 with her children Barbara and Kenneth, Ruth Handler came across German toy doll called Bild Lilli.[1] The adult-figured doll was exactly what Handler had in mind, so she purchased three of them. She gave one to her daughter and took the others back to Mattel. The Lilli doll was based on a popular character appearing in a comic strip drawn by Reinhard Beuthin for the newspaper Die Bild-Zeitung. Lilli was a working girl who knew what she wanted and was not above using men to get it. The Lilli doll was first sold in Germany in 1955, and although it was initially sold to babies, it became popular with adults who enjoyed dressing her up in outfits that were available separately.
Upon her return to the United States, Handler reworked the design of the doll (with help from engineer Jack Ryan) and the doll was given a new name, Barbie, after Handler's daughter Barbara. The doll made its debut at the American International Toy Fair in New York on March 9, 1959. This date is also used as Barbie's official birthday.
Mattel acquired the rights to the Bild Lilli doll in 1964 and production of Lilli was stopped. The first Barbie doll wore a black and white zebra striped swimsuit and signature topknot ponytail, and was available as either a blonde or brunette. The doll was marketed as a "Teen-age Fashion Model," with her clothes created by Mattel fashion designer Charlotte Johnson. The first Barbie dolls were manufactured in Japan, with their clothes hand-stitched by Japanese homeworkers. Around 350,000 Barbie dolls were sold during the first year of production.
Ruth Handler believed that it was important for Barbie to have an adult appearance, and early market research showed that some parents were unhappy about the doll's chest, which had distinct breasts. Barbie's appearance has been changed many times, most notably in 1971 when the doll's eyes were adjusted to look forwards rather than having the demure sideways glance of the original model.
Barbie was one of the first toys to have a marketing strategy based extensively on television and advertising, which has been copied widely by other toys. It is estimated that over a billion Barbie dolls have been sold worldwide in over 150 countries, with Mattel claiming that three Barbie dolls are sold every second.[2]
The standard range of Barbie dolls and related accessories are manufactured to approximately 1/6th scale, which is also known as playscale.[3] Barbie products include not only the range of dolls with their clothes and accessories, but also a huge range of Barbie branded goods such as books, fashion items and video games. Barbie has appeared in a series of animated films and made a brief guest appearance in the 1999 film Toy Story 2.
Barbie has become a cultural icon and has been given honors that are rare in the toy world. In 1974 a section of Times Square in New York City was renamed Barbie Boulevard for a week, In 1985 the artist Andy Warhol created a painting of Barbie.[4][5]
Biography
Barbie's full name is Barbara Millicent Roberts. In a series of novels published by Random House in the 1960s, her parents' names are given as George and Margaret Roberts from the fictional town of Willows, Wisconsin.[6]
In the Random House novels, Barbie attended Willows High School, while in in the Generation Girl books published by Golden Books in 1999 she attended the fictional Manhattan International High School in New York City (based on the real-life Stuyvesant High School[7]). She has an on-off romantic relationship with her boyfriend Ken (Ken Carson), who first appeared in 1961. A news release from Mattel in February 2004 announced that Barbie and Ken had decided to split up, but in February 2006 they were back together again.[8][9]
Barbie has had over forty pets including cats and dogs, horses, a panda, a lion cub, and a zebra. She has owned a wide range of vehicles, including pink Corvette convertibles, trailers and jeeps. She also holds a pilot's license, and operates commercial airliners in addition to serving as a flight attendant. Barbie's careers are designed to show that women can take on a variety of roles in life, and the doll has been sold with a wide range of titles including Miss Astronaut Barbie (1965), Doctor Barbie (1988) and Nascar Barbie (1998).[10]

learning to be an adult...

in my opinion, this topic is very subjective.everyone will be an adult same with me.further my study at usm also the learning process to be an adult.i must be independent as my family are far away from me.besides that, i also must struggle myself to compete with other students.this situation makes me feel strong and study more hard to achieve my dreams.the health competition makes me thinks that everyone must do their best.the first winner is the best among the best!!!so i want to be the winner..on the other hand,my behaviour to think positive in my life also the process to be an adult.i accept all the bad things that happen in my life and this situations make me more matured.

i love chocolate!!!!

i love chocolate very much!!!i must eat it to complete my day...for me when i eat chocolate,i feel cool and can release my tension...yummy..yummy>>>very delicious!!!!

The main types of chocolate are white chocolate, milk chocolate, semisweet chocolate, bittersweet chocolate and unsweetened chocolate. These types of chocolate may be produced with ordinary cacao beans (mass-produced and cheap) or specialty cacao beans (aromatic and expensive) or a mixture of these two types. The composition of the mixture, origin of cacao beans, the treatment and roasting of beans, and the types and amounts of additives used will significantly affect the flavor and the price of the final chocolate.

Some brands from around the world:

the most brands of chocolate that i love is dairy milk.i like it very much!!!

my most favaourite place in the whole wide world...

now i will tell about the place that i'm really want to go!!!ROME is the place that i'm really love to go..why rome???i have some reasons why i choose rome.Rome is one of the most popular locations in the world when it comes to tourism. It is a very lovely and beautiful city. A lot of people said it is also a very romantic place. for me rome is a country that is very unique.as you know...rome is famous with many old buildings and their own history.let me tell you aboutthe history of rome....

The history of Rome spans 2,800 years of the existence of a city that grew from a small Italian village in the 9th century BC into the center of a vast civilization that dominated the Mediterranean region for centuries. Its political power was eventually replaced by that of peoples of mostly Germanic origin, marking the beginning of the Middle Ages. Rome became the seat of the Roman Catholic Church and the home of a sovereign state, the Vatican City, within its walls. Today it is the capital of Italy, an international worldwide political and cultural centre, a major global city[1], and is regarded as one of the most beautiful cities of the ancient world[2].
The traditional date for the founding of Rome, based on a mythological account, is April 21, 753 BC, and the city and surrounding region of Latium has continued to be inhabited with little interruption since around that time.

after you know about rome's history,i know you also interest with this place.i hope i can go there.i love to see history buildings in my own eyes.besides that, their cultres are very unique.their languanges also diffrent with other languanges.i hope i can visit colosseum and patheon...i will...

i will wait for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!to my friend, aisyah.....make your facebook so that we can update our hot and top news each other...

life experience and paper qualification must balance...

i think to be a success person,we must have both experience and paper qualification.why i'm saying like this????this is because.....ermmm nowadays, everyone is compete each other.even there are one new job which is available, almost 1000 people are compete to get this job...in addition, the employers now want to get a quality workers who are having balance in experience and education...

if some people only have a good experience in works,it's okay. we must think positive about this issue...for example datuk siti nurhaliza..i admit that she has a good voice.she is our diva in malaysia.everyone loves her although her education is not quite good..but if u see dr fazley,he is very far different with datuk siti nurhaliza..he has a good education and experinece in singing..he get both of them...everyone respects him as a motivator and also singer..he can sing very well and success in his life...

hence, the conclusion is it depend on us..only we can decide our future...but i really agree that as a students, who will be facing a working phase,we must have a balance between education and experience...both of them are very important if we want to success in our life...
